On 16 May 2006, SMJK Yu Hua Kajang had their Teacher’s Day celebration. The ceremony started with a speech from our Minister of Education, followed by a speech from Director of the District Education Department. Then, our principle as well as our chairman of PIBG each gave an inspiring speech. After that, student representatives from form 5 and upper 6 gave a speech.

After the speeches, all the teachers stood up to sing several motivating songs, lead by Mr. Pradeep, and were rewarded with thunderous applause from students. Teachers who had full attendance since last year were given a special gift from PIBG. Every teacher was then given a souvenir from the prefects.

The ceremony in the morning session continued the students’ performance. There were poem recitation by afternoon session students, performance by Yu Hua Idol 2006 winner Jorinn Chee and runner-up Michelle Wong, drama by students of form 5, and award-winning performance from our harmonica team.

While in the afternoon, a group of Indian students performed an eye-opening Indian Dance. There were also performances by Jorinn Chee and Yu Hua Idol 2006 second runner-up Chua Evon.
