On 5^th July 2007, the Fire Brigade of SMJK Yu Hua Kajang has organized an blood donation campaign. The activity was held in the school hall and began at 8.30a.m. A blood donation campaigns are held annually. Blood donation campaigns are held to replenish supplies in the blood bank. Donated blood will be sent to the “Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya”.

 

            The donor has to fill up an agreement form at the registration counter. A quick blood examination and blood pressure check will be done on fellow donors. They are required to take in edibles before the blood donation.  After that, they are then cleared to proceed.

 

            A surgical needle will be injected into one of the donor’s main blood vessels.  The donor’s friends are allowed to accompany the donor but they must not disturb the donor. After the donation drive, donors should eat to replenish their physical strength.

 

            The blood donation campaign was held successful.
