Launching of Patriotic MonthLaunching of Patriotic Month 17/8/07
In the early morning, students and teachers were going into the hall. Before the event started, we sang the national anthem, “NegaraKu”, the state anthem, “Duli Yang Maha Mulia” and our school song. The event started at 7.25a.m. and the hosts of the event was Yoong Yi Jie and Chin Mei Wah. Our acting principal, Pn. Chang Keng Ling gave the opening speech to the event.
After Pn. Chang’s speech, our Chinese Percussion Team performed a great drum show. Their drumming skills and wonderful sounds produced made the atmosphere very lively.
After the Chinese Percussion Team show, 3 different races of students presented a patriotic poem. It shows that Malaysians can live peacefully and in harmony.
After that, our school singers sang patriotic songs with a group of 50 students from 8 selected uniform bodies to symbolize our country’s 50th Independance Day.
Finally, slideshow was presented. Everyone in the hall was shocked and suprised when the slideshow was displayed. After the slideshow, everyone applauded. The event ended about 9.00a.m.
Before the end of the event, Pn. Chang officiated the exhibition site where after, the teachers were invited to look at the exhibition displayed on ‘Knowing our National Flower - the Hibiscus’ in the lobby.
Another event was the officiating of the Yu Hua Hibiscus Garden, a project from Yuhuasheng, by our acting principal, Pn.Chang Keng Ling. One member of the Yuhuasheng, Santik Sengthong accompanied her to officiate the site.
At afternoon, the shows were repeated to the afternoon session students. The event was hosted by Puan Mariah.
