拿汀巴杜卡刘丽玲在育华中学

颁发助学金承认书给于本校贫困学生

 

2008年2月4日，本校举办马来西亚教育部助学金承认书颁发仪式，尊敬的州议员拿汀巴杜卡刘丽玲代表教育部到达本校颁发承认书。

 

            8点45分，拿汀巴杜卡刘丽玲在本校校长陈其俊先生，曾庆玲副校长，魏秀花代学生事务副校长，课外活动主任En. Nagayaya，育小副校长姚雅美老师及各位老师的陪同下到达Bilik Seminar(学校视听室)，举行仪式。各个得到助学金的学生及其父母皆到达参与此仪式。

 

            首先，蔡美金老师为在座各位讲解得到助学金的条件与资格。过后，陈校长致词感谢州议员拿汀巴杜卡刘丽玲出席仪式，并希望政府可更全面地资助本校贫困学生。之后，拿汀巴杜卡刘丽玲致词说，希望在座各位可不惜资金于投资教育，以培育有终生学习，努力上进精神的新一代学生子弟。

 

            9点10分，拿汀巴杜卡刘丽玲颁发承认书于各位获得资助金的学生，共有63名中学生及5名小学学生获此助学金。

 

            最后，陈校长颁发纪念品于拿汀巴杜卡刘丽玲并在各位主任的陪同下于拿汀巴杜卡刘丽玲用膳。

YB Datin Paduka Low Lee Leng’s Visit to the Yu Hua Secondary School

8.20 am
The Principal, Mr. Chan Kai Choon, together with Pn. Chua MK (Counsellor), Mr. Lim SH (Teachers’ representative) & members of the Web Team, photography team & prefects’ board, await the arrival of Datin Paduka Low Lee Leng.

8.41 am
YB Datin Paduka arrives. She is escorted to the Seminar Room on the fifth floor of the new 5-storey block where she is to officiate the “Scholarship Giving Ceremony 2008”.

 

8.45 am
YB Datin Paduka is greeted by Madam Gui Sew Hwa (Acting Senior Assistant Students Affair), Mr. Nagayaya (Senior Assistant Co-curricular), Madam Chang Keng Ling (Senior Assistant), Mr. Lim Siam Meng (Head of the Science and Mathematics Department), Mr. Ting See How (Head of the Humanities Department) & Madam Yao (Senior Assistant, SRJK Yu Hua).
 

8.47 am
Madam Chua begins the proceedings by giving pertinent details on the scholarship programme. 63 Yu Hua Secondary School students are to receive the Minor Federal Scholarship while 5 Yu Hua Primary school pupils, their KWAM financial assistance.

8.51 am
The principal, Mr Chan Kai Choon delivers his speech. He thanks YB Datin Paduka for her generosity. She has donated RM 30,000 to the school building fund in the year 2006. She also helped the school to obtain a special allocation of RM 300,000 from the Prime Minister Department through the MCA Chairman, Dato' Seri Ong Ka Ting.

8.55 am
The principal invites the VIP to deliver her speech. She touches on poverty at present times and also in the past. She compares what it was like during her childhood & what it is like now in the modern world. She says: “Child labour is illegal. Children from disadvantaged backgrounds should be given/offered financial support. When a child is able to be independent financially, he will be successful in life and in a position to help others later. This is what matters the most: being a filial child or a grateful student.

9.10 am
YB Datin Paduka closes her speech with a Chinese New Year greeting to all which is welcomed by loud cheers. She is then invited to give away the scholarship certificates. Among the recipients are 2 Malay pupils and 1 Indian pupil.

 

9.32 am
The Principal presents YB Datin Paduka, (his former classmate in SMJK Yu Hua!) a souvenir from the school.

9.34 am
Datin Paduka is then ushered to the PRS room for lunch.
