On the 31^st of July 2009, our school organized a dinner to show our gratitude to all teachers of SMJK Yu Hua and SRJK(C) Yu Hua. A  number of members from our school’s Parents Teachers Association and The board of directors donated a huge sum of money to make the dinner a success. This event took place in the Imperial Oriental Restaurant, which is in the Oriental Hotel of Kajang.

                At around 7.00pm, our teachers and guests arrived one after and crowded the entrance of the Imperial Oriental Restaurant. The list of honored guests included past present headmasters and Mr. Yap Shin Tien from the Dong Zong Association. They were shown their tables and sat to wait for the dinner to begin officially.

                Finally at 8.05pm, the long wait was over. The host of the dinner gave a speech, and then announced that the dishes were about to be served. Meanwhile, The School’s dance troupe entertained with a fast paced but graceful performance of stage. It was about 8.25 pm at the time.

                Later, the headmaster of SMJK Yu Hua, Mr. Chan Kai Choon A.I.S talked briefly on stage, giving words encouragement to all those who came to the dinner. Mostly, he thanked the teachers for providing their services to our beloved students. It was 8.38pm then. At 8.45pm, the president of the board of directors of SMJK Yu Hua, Mr.Tan Teck Sing gave a lengthy speech.

               As the teachers chattered away happily, the Harmonica Club of SMJK Yu Hua performed to up-beat numbers. Then, Jorinn and her two brothers who are well-known for their magic shows, gave and amazing performance. The performed several tricks and reserved a long round of applause. It was about 9.37pm then. Members of the Chinese Orchestra then displayed their skills a traditional Chinese Instruments until 9.50pm dedicated to all teachers.

After that, a huge and beautiful cake was pushed on a trolley up to centre stage, The VIPS in front gathered on stage to proceed with the cake-cutting ceremony. The ambience was amazing. At 10.00pm, it was the souvenir giving ceremony to teachers who had served for as long as 20 years or more in the Yu Hua. Many skilled teachers went on stage to accept their souvenirs.

                Lastly, at approximately 10.10pm, came the lucky draw. This session was quite long, and was followed by the karaoke session, when teachers such as Mr. Pradeep Kumar, showcased their talent. This event ended at around 11.00pm as the teachers bade farewell to cash other.
