On the 4th of august
September our school national day celebrations for
the afternoon session started officially when the
remove form, form1 and 2 gathered in the hall at
about 12.55pm. After singing the national, state and
school anthems, representations of Setia Club,
school prefect and the various uniformed bodies
grandly marched up to the stage wave flags of the 13
Malaysian states in their hands. Another three
representations sang patriotic song. The audience
was their response in exuberant.

After a while, a group of dancers
from Kelab Kebudayaan performed a traditional
Chinese dance, showing their presentation of Chinese
culture. At 1.25pm, there students from form 1 read
a Chinese poem about our beloved country. This was
followed by the One Malaysia performance by students
at 1:35pm.
 
The atmosphere was up lifting, with
musical performance by some form 2 students. They
played some beautiful melody piece on the piano,
guitar, violin and harmonica. The main attraction
was ‘Wherever You Go’. Then, at about 1.45pm, the
music club performed –“Sunny Otaku “b y Jay Chou,
giving a huge applause from the audiences.

At nearby 2pm, some creative motion
students performed a dance. Later, our school’s
famous “Jorin” from form 4 performed dancing rhythms
and a magic show, as well. At 2.15pm, wowing the
crowd in the process. Then there was another dance
also performed on stage at 2.11pm, the impact strong
and bold on the entire ambiences.
  
Then, came the climax of the
celebrations. Setia Club put on a hilarious drama
about the history of the Melaka ‘empire. The
“sultan” along with his “allies” faced off the
Portuguese and other power, displaying a funny
drama. The responses gained were wonderful. After
this drama ended, our students never failed to give
a strong round of applause.
  
  
At 2.28pm, two morning section
students lead a choir of singers. Staging a “Dikir
Barat”, which is a traditional game of Melayu
culture. At 2.37pm, several students form 2B, 2C
and 2D performed yet another musical performance,
including “Canon in D” and “Qing Fei De YI”.
  
Finally, there was a prize-giving
ceremony for the best decorated notice board in the
afternoon session and the winners of the
poster-drawing competition. The 1st prize
for the notice board competition went to 1F, 2nd,
1D and 3rd, 1N. As for the poster-drawing
competition, Eng Ze Liang of 1D won the 1st
prize. 2nd prize went to Low Chen Wey of
1A while 3rd prize went to Yoong Sue Li
of 1E. As form 2, 1st prize was Chon
Shuang Yuen of 2A, 2nd prize went to
Chong Wen Xin of 2A, and the 3rd prize
went to Ang Mei Syuen of 2A.
  
The photo
will displayed on Yu Hua official page and this went
to the end of the SMJK Yu Hua National Day
celebrations. Students continued their lesson
afterwards.
