If I
Were a Billionaire
Money has become a must in today’s society. Most
people are willing to do almost anything to get
money. Some of these people such as Bill Gates, Ross
Perot and Jack Welch have been extremely successful
in earning money that they have now become
billionaires.
If I, myself were a billionaire, oh, the wonders I
could do! There is so much one can do with big
amount of money, but money should not just be used
for personal interests. Money should also used
meaningfully, so that others may also benefit from
one’s fortune.
If I were a billionaire, the first thing I would do
is to sponsor a research on cure for cancer. Cancer
has become the number one killer among males and
females, young and old, with millions suffering from
it worldwide. There is no definite cure for cancer,
not yet. But with my contribution, I hope the people
suffering from cancer may have a new hope in life.
Secondly, I would donate some money to charitable
organizations such as orphanages and old folks’
homes. These people deserve our love and attention
and therefore should be assisted so that they can
overcome their hardships and misery.
Then, I shall proceed to contribute a large sum of
money to the Malaysian Ministry of Education. With
that money, I hope the Ministry will proceed to
upgrade the schools in our country so that our
future generations will receive the best education
possible.
Of course, I will also reward my parents by letting
them explore the world and enjoy their golden years.
They deserve it as they are the ones apart from God,
who have helped me the most to accomplish many
things in life and my success.
I then shall proceed to sponsor a program that
trains people who are extremely talented in any kind
of field. From dancing to writing, I hope I can
train these people so that they may also become
famous and glorify Malaysia.
These ambitions may be a little high for me to
achieve, but that will not hinder me from working
hard to accomplish these great feats. With God’s
help, I hope I can help the world become a better
place.
